President

I'm a senior this year and outside of SNHS I'm involved in Science Olympiad and Marching band. In Wind Symphony I play the also play the clarinet. This year I'm looking forward with working with all the various honor societies at Fossil more!

Alex McFarland

President

Hello! My name is Alex McFarland, and I’m a senior this year. I’m super excited to be on the board and to continue serving Fossil and my community. At Fossil, I am a part of the Wind Symphony, where I play the clarinet, and I am also involved in the marching band. Outside of Fossil, I am a member of a competitive robotics team (FRC 4499, The Highlanders) where I work on the mechanical team and the outreach team. A personal goal for me this year is to encourage the scientists at Fossil to be more active in the community, using their love of science and their passion for helping others to make a positive impact.

Jennifer Bekken

Jenny Bekken is an Earth Systems Science and CP Biology teacher at Fossil Ridge High School. This is her fifteenth year teaching at Fossil. She has an undergraduate degree in neuroscience and a masters in education. She sponsors SNHS because she cares a great deal about teenagers and the journey they are on--a journey to explore and better understand their wonderful selves and the fascinating world around them. In her free time, she reads, watches sports, and hangs out with her 2 boys.
